Welcome
The mission of the Georgetown Non-Profit Internship Fund (NIF) is to provide financial assistance for students wishing to take socially-minded internships with public, private or non-profit organizations. By awarding stipends for non-paying or low-paying summer internships, NIF allows students to pursue the career paths of their choosing and reduces the financial burden associated with an unpaid or low paying internship.
NIF also aims to enhance the reputation of a Georgetown MBA degree within the non-profit and public-sector. The organization embodies the McDonough School of Business’ mission of training well-rounded individuals for leadership positions in a broad array of industries and it exemplifies the MSB spirit of social responsibility.
Because of the scholarship from NIF, I could conduct my field research on the Marshall Islands and eventually made this project a successful one. Working with DOI provided me with a great opportunity to identify and resolve problems that a developing country faces. This experience also prepared me for my career.
